"What a wonderful tour I had through Tye's Tours. Mel Tye was the tour director, and he did a fantastic job informing us all about Newport, RI. He provided such historic and interesting information about this city and was friendly, courteous and fun to be with. We saw all of the areas in Newport and did things like wine tasting which made this tour even better than I expected. Although it was just me and one other person signed up for this tour, Mel did not cancel it. Instead he gave us a private tour and even picked us up at my house. "W did not expect to see so many things in Newport as well as learn so much about this city.  I never realized that Newport has wineries or farms.   Thanks for letting us stop so often to take pictures.  We have been to Newport many times but never in Dec. When we only wanted to visit  one mansion instead of two. our guide made a stop at Sweet Berry farms and the Topiary Gardens. The buffet with the lobster was one of the best meals I have had on any tour.  We were amazed that a 11/2 lb lobster was included in this tour when the price was so low. We have been to Newport in the past, now we have seen Newport   What a perfect way to spend a day with friends.   "
