In order for you to help meet our expectations we have posted our hotel and restaurant guidelines. These are guidelines not rules!!!

Tues June 19  depart for Anchorage AlaskaOn arrival in Anchorage transfer to the Microtel Hotel Tonight we welcome you to an Alaska with a Salmon Bake. The stores in Anchorage stay open late for shoppers. After dinner we will run shuttles to the hotel so the shoppers have a chance to explore the city. Overnight Anchorage (dinner)

Wed. June 20  Anchorage to Seward

Depart at 8:30 am for Anchorage  City Tour before heading to Seward by motorcoach. In the Afternoon we will tour Anchorage where the devastation of the 1964 earthquake can be seen. See the vent pipes that have been inserted in the soil to prevent future disasters, the beautiful floral displays and the float plain basin. If you are lucky you might even see a moose wandering through town. Travel along Turn Again arm and into the Chugatch National Forest where wildlife is often seen on the side of the road. . A stop at the Big Game Conservation area to see Alaska’s big game animals is sure to be a highlight o the day.  You can expect to arrive in Seward  around 4:30 pm.  Your next two nights will be at the Holiday Inn Express.  Today time is only a reference point as many things can disrupt the days schedule. We might see wildlife on the side of the road, experience a rock slide or a traffic

Thurs  June 21 Seward

Today you will explore the Kenai Fjords National Park. The 6 hour Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise will be narrated by a naturalist and often, seals, walruses, puffins, whales, bears, eagles, otters and marine life are spotted. Today is a day you want to be sure you have your binoculars with you. A hot lunch will be served on the cruise. Tonight you might enjoy watching the baseball game that begins at midnight. Fri June 22 Seward to Anchorage

Breakfast at hotel After breakfast  we begin our journey north  to Anchorage, a visit will be made to the Alaska Native Heritage Center for an interpretive program on tribal customs and dance. The afternoon will be free to enjoy the many museums and attractions of Anchorage. Tonight we will offer an optional visit to the Wild berry Chocolate Factory and Sour dough mining company. Dinner, transportation, show and chocolate tasting available for $35 per person.

Sat June 23 Anchorage to Denali

Before departing for the train station enjoy an early morning breakfast at the hotel,. The train departs Anchorage at 8:15 am and arrives at Denali at 3:45 PM. (you need to be at the train station an hour early to clear security.)This is a very scenic rail trip to Denali Park. On arrival at Denali Park you will be transferred to the McKinley Chalet or similar property. For those that are interested in a night of entertainment an option of  “Cabin Night” is available. Where you waiters and waitresses will entertain you with song and Alaska stories. You will fine everything from Fine Dining to Pizza located close to the hotel. Please remember that all food has to come to Denali by rail or truck and it is not inexpensive. Even a Pizza will cost you $20 and fine dining will cost close to $50 per person.  In the evening you will have 24 hours of sunshine so there is plenty of time to partake in park activities. Sun. June 24 Denali

We urge you to spend the day enjoying the park. The only way you can see wild life is to take the tundra wild life tour, which goes 60 miles into the park and takes 6 –8 hours depending on the wild life sightseeing’s. To go this far and not see big game or the mountain is a disappointment to most. We have included this trip but if you wish not to take the trip you can deduct $115 per person.  On the tour you will be provided with a snack box.

Mon June 25  Denali to Beaver Creek

We depart Denali Park via the Parks Highway to Fairbanks and then head south through the Yokon to Beaver creek where we will overnight at the Westmark Lodge.  Breakfast

 Tue. June 26 Beaver Creek to Skagway

We continue the route that many of the gold seekers traveled on the way to the Klondike Gold Fields. You will be crossing from Canada back into the USAS and will need your passport available.  You will travel past Lake Bennet and the White Pass into Skagweay where you will overnight. Breakfast.

Wed. June 27 Skagway

Skagway the jumping off point for the Klondike Gold Rush. The town looks much as it did at the turn of the century with horse drawn transportation and boardwalk sidewalks. While in Skagway you might want to try your luck at gold panning, shop, visit a glass blowing studio, or take a walk with a ranger. You might even enjoy a melodrama at the theater.  

Thurs. June 28 Skagway to Juneau

This morning you will depart for Juneau by Ferry. After departing the ferry an included Juneau city tour and visit Mendenhall Glacier will show you the highlights of Juneau. At Menedenhall Glacier you will be able to see icebergs floating by.  This is a perfect day to be looking for bald eagles. Overnight Juneau Prospector Hotel.

 Fri Jun 29 Juneau 

Breakfast at hotel Free day to explore Juneau Visit the Alaska State Museum Visit the shops and galleries along front street Take the tram to the Top of Mt Roberts

 Sat Jun  30  

This morning we will take the Ferry from Juneau to Sitka.  On arrival in Sitka you will be taken on a combination walking and coach tour.  See where the Russians signed over Alaska to Admiral Seward. See the raptor center and the charming fishing villages along the water.


Sun July 1

Breakfast at hotel Spend the day visiting the National Park, or take in a native dance show. Sitka is a great place to go Salmon fishing, Take a marine tour to see the island wildlife. You don’t want to miss visiting the Russian Orthodox Church in the center of town or the old cemetery. Perhaps kayaking by yourself or with a guide is your thing. Kayaks are for rent along the waterfronts with or with out a guide. Tonight we say farewell to Alaska with our closing banquet.  Breakfast and Dinner. . .
