Oct 8 –10 2010 $679Dbl $659 Tpl $879 Sgl Day 1: We will depart from New England for New York. Arriving in the city by lunchtime. Your day begins with a visit to little Italy where you will discover where the Pizza industry in the USA started. You will have the opportunity to sample Pizza made in coal fired ovens the same way it has always been made in New York. After lunch you have time to wander the streets of Little Italy and Chinatown where you never know what bargains will be discovered. The Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival is the only festival in New York to bring together both legendary culinary icons from around the globe and America's most beloved television chefs. Mirroring the charitable component of its sister event, the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Food & Wine magazine, the New York City festival is hosted by and benefits the hunger relief organizations Food Bank For New York City and Share Our Strength. 100 percent of the net proceeds from the festival directly benefit these community-based initiatives. While in New York you will participate in three celebrity demonstrations and have the opportunity to meet with three celebrity chefs. Each demonstration 60-90 minutes, the list of participating celebrity chefs will be available later this spring and if you watch the Food Net Work 90% of the show stars will be at this event. In addition to the demonstrations the celebrity chefs will be found at festival events. (Cost saver will stay in NJ at $100 less per person) Day 2: Begins with breakfast. This morning we will depart the hotel at 7:30, as you will be part of the studio audience for the Early Morning Show. After your appearance on TV the Celebrity demonstrations will begin through out the city and the day will be scheduled around the food and Wine Festival events. As you travel through the city you will receive a comprehensive tour of the city. This evening we will offer an optional Broadway Show. ($125) Breakfast and Dinner included. Day 3: After breakfast we will visit the Madam Tusaude Wax Museum, where you never know what is real and what is wax. This interactive museum is fun for people of all ages and you are sure to leave with a smile on your face. We will enjoy a horse drawn Carriage ride through Central Park before departing the city for home. One final stop before leaving the city will be a visit to Dylon’s Candy Store where you will be able to find your favorite treat for yourself or someone with a sweet tooth.
