Day 1: On arrival in Newport we will do a drive along the spectacular Ocean Drive where you can view many of the elaborate homes. This is where the Eisenhower’s summered , the Kennedy’s the Dukes the Astor’s and so many others. Our next stop will be the Breakers where a self-guided audio tour is included. Learn what it was like to live in Newport during the Gilded Age. (the order of sightseeing may be in a different order depending on the departure point). After the Mansion tour we will feature a buffet lunch featuring, all the mussels you Can eat plus a 11/4 steamed lobster, fresh salads at least five other entrees, vegetables and dessert. After lunch we will visit the Newport Winery for a tour and tasting. The hotel for the evening is the Best Western located across the street from the Casino. You are welcome to tempt lady luck this evening. Lobster Lunch
Your schooner will sail at 10:30 and return at noon. On the way home we will stop at Kenyon’s Grist Mill where you can see stone ground corn turned into flour. Fresh made Rhode Island Journey cakes made l from the stone ground corn will be available for tasting. Breakfast, Lunch.
