Day 1 – Arrive in Portland

Arrive in Portland, one of New England’s most famous port cities. Roundtrip Transfers will be available from Boston, or Manchester at $75 per person, as well as from Portland (included). Join your tour director for a drink and a welcome Dinner. At 7:00 PM (D)

Day 2 – Portland
Your day begins with breakfast and a visit to some of Maine’s most famous Lighthouses. You will see the Portland Head Light at the entrance to Portland Harbor, Bug light, and Two lights. We will then head down the coast to the quaint town of Kennebunk where we will take the scenic coastal drive past Walker Point where the Bush family resides. Along the way view some of the magnificent homes built along the coast. After a Lobster lunch we will feature a Portland Duck tour where you will see Portland by land and by Sea. (B) (L)

Day 3 Portland -York
This Morning we will travel south to York Maine where our first stop will be Nubble Light one of the most photographed light houses on the Maine Coast. Next it is on to the Stonewall Kitchens where you can see the production line and you can taste the delectable products. All of our guests will receive a discount-shopping coupon for the gift shop. This afternoon we will visit the Visit the Museums of Old York and participate in a hands-on open hearth cooking demonstration in true colonial style. We return to Portland where you will have time to explore the Port City and enjoy dining on the waterfront. (B)

Day 4 Portland - Bar Harbor
This morning depart Portland for Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island, for a two-night stay. Your dinner this evening is a typical LOBSTER BAKE featuring Maine lobster, steamed mussels, and delicious corn on the cob. (B, D)

Day 5 Bar Harbor
Nowhere along the Atlantic seaboard is the rock-bound coast as picturesque as in ACADIA NATIONAL PARK, one of America’s most visited national parks. We drive the scenic loop road, with its numerous viewpoints and blowholes. The afternoon is at leisure to stroll around the charming Bar Harbor waterfront with its many shops, galleries, and boutiques. This evening, choose from the many fine specialty restaurants this quaint seaside community has to offer. (B)

Day 6 Bar Harbor – North Conway
Back to the mainland and west through Maine for vistas of sparkling lakes and forests. Then, on to New Hampshire and the scenic White Mountains, New England’s greatest range and premier outdoor playgrounds. At Pinkham Notch, board the Wildcat Mountain GONDOLA for a thrilling ride to the 4,397-foot summit. Savor the 360-degree panorama of Mount Washington Valley and the famous Presidential Range, whose peaks are named after many U.S. presidents. Also enjoy the RAVEN INTERPRETIVE PROGRAM focusing on the unique environs of northern New England and local wildlife. (B)

Day 7 North Conway – Breton Woods
Our day begins with a view of one of the most scenic Roads in New England the Kangamaugus Highway. We will stop to see covered bridges, stroll by roaring brooks, and stop at scenic Vistas. In the afternoon we ride the COG RAILWAY to the top of Mount Washington. We will return to North Conway in the afternoon for our farewell dinner. (B, D)

Day 8 North Conway home
Transfers will be available to Manchester Portland and Boston airports (B)

Cancellations within 75 days of departure will result in a loss of your deposit. Cancellation within 60 days will result in a 25% cancellation penalty, within 45 days a 50% penalty, within 30 days, a 75% penalty, and within 7 days, no refund.
Cancellation insurance is available for individuals and groups.
