Day 1: We depart New England and begin our journey to Nashville. Today is a travel day and we will arrive in Morgantown in the late afternoon Tonight we will be staying at the Microtel Hotel Morgantown West Vireginia. Dinner included.
Day 2: Continental Breakfast will be included at the hotel. We cross through West Virginia and Kentucky arriving in Nashville in the late afternoon. Your hotel will be the Comfort Inn on Music Row. This hotel is close to the downtown area so that if you want to stay out at the Honkey Tonk Bars Transportation back to the hotel is inexpensive. Continental Breakfast & Dinner included
Day 3: A hot breakfast will be waiting for you this morning. Our day begins with a Nashville tour seeing some of the stars home and the sights of Nashville. Your tour will include a drive through Nashville, including historic 2nd Avenue, the State Capitol, Fort Nashborough, and the Ryman Auditorium. Enjoy a driving tour through the neighborhoods of the elite country music artists who call Nashville home, such as Alan Jackson, Trace Adkins, Ronnie Milsap, Dolly Parton, Martina McBride, Ronnie Dunn & Kix Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Little Jimmy Dickens and late legendary performers including Webb Pierce, Hank Williams and Tammy Wynette. Our next stop will be the Country Music Hall of Fame. This must see attraction is an interactive museum tracing the history of country music. In the afternoon we will visit Studio B which is actual recording studio used by stars such as Elvis Presley. On your tour you will see how the Studio’s work and what it takes to make a recording. Tonight you will be free to enjoy the Honky Tonk Bars along front Street where you never know which star you will meet. Tonight is the perfect night to take a dance lesson at the Wild Horse, listen to country music, visit the Charlie Daniels Museum and so much more. Breakfast.
Day 4: This morning after a hot breakfast we will depart Nashville for Lynchburg and the Jack Daniel Distillery. This tour gives you a chance to view the spectacular vistas of Middle Tennessee, as you travel from Nashville to the Jack Daniels Distillery, the oldest registered distillery in the United States, in Lynchburg, Tennessee. You’ll get to witness how whiskey is made and step back in time as you visit the charming shops of Lynchburg. On the way back we will stop to visit the Fontanel Mansion the former home of Barbara Mandrel The Mansion at Fontanel has been filled to the brim with photos, memorabilia and personal items from the period when the Mandrell/Dudney family lived there. Nashville’s only country music mansion tour, the Mansion gives visitors a sneak peek into the lives of country music greats by providing a truly interactive experience. A tour of the Mansion is guided in small groups room by room, with amazing sights, special stories and maybe even some music along the way. Tour guides escort guests from the moment they walk into the front door through the entire home starting in the Great Room and ending in the glorious sunlit pool atrium. Every tour is unique. Dinner will be included at the mansion after the tour. Breakfast and Dinner included.
Day 5: This morning after breakfast enjoy a backstage tour the Old Ryman Auditorium where country music began. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Perhaps you want to shop for that unique souvenir, enjoy the music of the Honky Tonks on Front street, visit the Hermitage the former home of Andrew Jackson. Or Record your own music. Tonight we feature a performance of the Grand Ole Opry. Breakfast and Dinner
Day 6: After breakfast depart for Lexington Kentucky. After lunch we will visit Thoroughbred Park for a photo opportunity with life size bronze horse and jockey statues, next it is on to the Kentucky Horse Park where you will see the parade of breeds and the grave markers of some of the most famous race horses. Overnight Comfort Inn Lexington Kentucky Breakfast and Dinner.
Day 7: Today begin your journey north today and will overnight in Harrisburg PA Breakfast and Dinner Day 8: We return home with memories of Nashville and the horses of Lexington Breakfast
