In order for you to help meet our expectations we have posted our hotel and restaurant guidelines. These are guidelines not rules!!!


St Patrick's Day in Ireland

Day 1: Overnight Flight to Dublin

Depart your North American gateway city and travel through the night to Dublin. ( meals in flight)

Day 2: Dublin Tour & Trinity College

Arrive at Dublin Airport, proceed through immigration and pick up your baggage. Your hotel is centrally-located on the north bank of the River Liffey. At 2:00 pm join your group and a local guide for an introductory look around central Dublin. See fashionable shopping areas around Grafton and Nassau Streets, view Dublin's famous elegant Georgian squares with imposing townhouses and pause at the evocative figures at the Famine Memorial. Walk through the campus of Trinity College to the Old Library to view the illuminated manuscript of the 8th century Book of Kells and learn how monks created this and other masterpieces. Tonight’s dinner will be followed by a traditional pub Crawl through the Temple Square area for those that are up to it..   Dinner

Day 3: Dublin to Galway: 

Our tour of Dublin continues with a visit to the Guinness Brewery and one of the most picturesque views of Dublin. Visit the Guinness Storehouse to learn about this legendary black stout, which has been brewed for over 250 years. Learn about how it is created and then sample a pint of creamy draft Guinness in the rooftop bar where you can enjoy great views of central Dublin. We will also visit the Jameson Distillery for a tour and tasting, where you will gain the knowledge of what makes Irish whiskey different form other Whiskeys.  In the afternoon we will head to Galway for a two night stay. Breakfast and Dinner.

 

Day 4:Galway:

Our St. Patrick’s Day will be spent in the lovely city of Galway, where we’ll enjoy a walking tour of the medieval Quay St. Known as the ‘City of Tribes’ we’ll learn more about the families that ruled this most cosmopolitan of trading ports. We’ll even see where Columbus left from on his ‘mystery tour’ into the new world! We’ll take our vantage point for the most traditional of all St. Patrick’s Day parades as we enjoy area dance troupes, children’s groups and even pets, all bedecked in green. After the parade, people visit in the parks, pubs and shops to enjoy a lovely day of togetherness Breakfast and Dinner

 

Day 5: Cliffs of Moher & Irish Farm Life

Drive south through the Burren and around the shores of Galway Bay to Rathbaun Farm. See traditional farming methods and vintage farm machinery as well as lots of cute farmyard animals roaming freely. Continue Along the coast past the Cliffs of Moher rising to heights of almost 700 feet above the churning Atlantic swells We travel on to the outskirts of Limerick.  to reach Bunratty Village. Have some free time to shop or visit Durty Nelly's before heading to the coast of County Clare to view the. Walk along the top of the cliffs to O'Brien's Tower for great views. Drive. Sample some home-baked scones with tea or coffee. Tonight we overnight in Killarney Breakfast and Dinner


Day 6:   Ring of Kerry & Skellig Experience

View the highlights of Ireland's natural scenery on the famous Ring of Kerry route. The road winds between the Macgillycuddy's Reeks Mountains on one side and the Atlantic coastline on the other. Drive through Killorglin and Cahirciveen to cross by bridge to Valencia Island. Visit the Skellig Experience to learn about the rocky islands off the end of the peninsula where monks lived in early Christian times. Today the islands form a protected bird sanctuary. Stop in the colorful village of Sneem and also at Moll's Gap to view the Three Lakes of Killarney. Enjoy some free time to browse around Killarney before dining in your hotel. Breakfast and Dinner.

Day 7: Blarney Castle, Cork, Cobh & Dromoland Castle

Depart Killarney and head west to Ireland’s ‘San Francisco’, the beautiful port town of Cobh. Originally named Queenstown it was the last port of call for all the great Ocean Liners of the world, including the Titanic. We’ll hav time to explore the Heritage Center and meander through the beautiful and historic streets of this quaint seaport. Continue your drive north to visit Blarney Castle and kiss the famous “Stone of Eloquence.” Also shop at the Blarney Woolen Mills for quality Irish-made souvenirs or take a walk around the village green. Tonight we will overnight in a Castle close to Shannon Airport, a fitting end to our Irish adventure! Breakfast and Dinner
